Introduction

EcoStruxure Building Advisor simplifies maintenance, improves comfort, optimizes performance, and extends the life of the assets in a building. It is a suite of cloud-based monitoring and analytics software leveraged by experts from Schneider Electric and EcoXpert partners.

Building Advisor helps to monitor your entire building portfolio and make proactive, data-driven decisions for the maintenance and operation of your buildings.

Features

Portal administration

Building Advisor Portal consolidates views of all the clients, their buildings and deployed system and services. The portal offers an aggregated view of Building Advisor's suite of modules enabling digital services. The portal supports multilingual and administrative functions to enable flexible access across teams or end users.

Asset Health

The Asset Health module is the automated Fault Detection and Diagnostics (aFDD) for HVAC equipment. The module pin-points issues & provides a detailed synopsis of possible root-causes as well as recommended corrective actions aligned with avoidable costs, energy savings, improved comfort & extended equipment life.

BMS Health

The BMS Health module provides automation in continuous check of BMS servers, controllers, and devices, which saves time and improves coverage as well as accuracy compared to manual checks. The module also helps identify hardware that needs to be replaced due to end of life or software that needs to be upgraded.

Alarm Health

The Alarm Health module provides alarm insights to drive continous improvement creating functional alarms. Use analysis and reports for alarm events to provide context for where to focus attention, and to reduce risk of missing critical alarms that require attention but are masked by high volumes of alarms.

Cyber Health

Cyber Health extends automated checks on BMS servers and systems configurations aligning to hardening guidelines and best practices. This module continuously monitors target system security settings, automatically checking configurations including user & credential, communication, system settings, and integral system alerts. Integrated informational resources help to bridge the cybersecurity skills gap and enhanced service delivery.

Task Manager

The Task Manager module provides a view to track maintenance tasks related to Asset Health, BMS Health, Alarm Health, and Cyber Health. For Asset Health tasks, you can view return on investment (ROI), key performance indicators (KPIs), completed tasks, technician notes, avoidable costs, and realized savings for assets and equipment. For BMS Health tasks, you can create and manage actionable tasks based on the issues identified by the preventive maintenance checks on the BMS system. For Alarm Health, you can create and manage actionable tasks to address the volume of nuisance alarm and implement a more efficient alarm management strategy. For Cyber Health, you can create tasks to ensure best practices of data security and privacy.

Reports

Generate self-serve reports to analyze value of service delivered per module:

  • Asset Health Report to highlight realized energy savings, performed maintenance improvements, and identified opportunities.

  • BMS Health Report to highlight a mix of BMS equipment status and runtime performance.

  • Alarm Health Report to highlight alarm behavior, the most frequent alarms, and the status of alarm-related tasks.

  • Cyber Health Report to highlight alignment with the cybersecurity hardening guidelines of the BMS.

  • EcoFit Modernization Report to highlight installed base status and identify upgrade needs.

Data transmission

Building Advisor transmits several types of data from the BMS including point values, configurations, events, and alarms.

Building Advisor removes all personal identifiable information coming from the BMS before the data is transmitted to the cloud.

Cybersecurity

All data is transmitted over HTTPS, encrypted at rest and in transit. Microsoft Azure is used to store the data needed to support Building Advisor. Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is required.

Data privacy

Schneider Electric is committed to protecting your privacy and personal information. For more information, see Building Advisor Privacy Notice .
