Creating a Basic Report

You create a basic report to provide the foundation for your own report based on selected parts of the reports database.

To create a basic report
  1. In MS Report Builder, select Blank Report .

  2. In the editor, type a title for the report.

  3. Click the Save button.

  4. In the Save As Report dialog box, type a name and select a location for the report.

  5. Click Save .

  6. Click Run and view the generated basic report.

Now, create a data source for the report.
