A number of software and features need licenses.
There are a number of different clients, servers, and features that requires licenses to operate.
These hardening guidelines applies to the EcoStruxure Building Operation software products and the EcoStruxure BMS server products.
All licenses must be assigned before they can be activated.
License enforcement is the process of checking whether a software application has a valid license available to it at runtime. If you do not have enough licenses, a license violation occurs. This is accomplished by a license violation bar in WorkStation and WebStation.

License Activation Server, sometimes called FNO server, is a server controlled by Schneider Electric globally to manage the activation of licenses. License Activation Server is used for both Centralized Licensing and for licenses administered by License Administrator.
The License Settings dialog box is used to view the license settings when troubleshooting. Do not change the settings in this dialog. Changes in this dialog results in license violation. The dialog looks different depending on if it is opened from the Other menu in the Show Licenses view toolbar, or if it is opened from the Entitlements View.
