Device Administrator is used to manage Centralized Licensing on EcoStruxure BMS servers. Centralized Licensing is the main Licensing feature in EcoStruxure Building Operations.
There are a number of different clients, servers, and features that requires licenses to operate.
You back up licenses administrated by License Administrator to be able restore them if something unexpected happens.
You activate licenses so that you can access the features.
You activate demo licenses for demonstration, training, or when building a site.
You can add and remove license column in Device Administrator to get a better overview.
Use the Add license dialog box to activate licenses from the License Activation Server with an entitlement ID.
You activate EcoStruxure Building Operation software licenses, from the License Activation Server, to make EcoStruxure Building Operation software licenses available.
You access License Server using the interface to configure the settings, for example, change the port number to the License Server.
After licenses are activated on the License Server you have to configure Workstation and its client tools connection to License Server, where licenses are available to be activated. The address to the License Server is defined during the installation of WorkStation. This is done using License Administrator.
