This section provides recommendations on minimum wire sizes (cross-sectional areas) and maximum wire lengths for the wires connected to the screw terminals of Central IO modules, AS-B servers, RP and MP controllers, and IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules. Recommendations on minimum wire size and maximum cable length for the digital inputs of the RP controller expansion modules, the DALI bus of the DALI light modules, the SMI Interface of the SMI blind modules, the Zigbee DALI and 0-10V modules, and the KNX Modbus gateway are also provided. The recommendations are for guidance only. Other wire sizes and lengths may be used, depending on wiring rules and when appropriate.
You export an Asset list when you have completed the capture of controller data.
You can use the Asset List Creator feature to capture device information contained in the digital matrix symbol on the tear-off product information label packaged with the BACnet/IP controller. When you scan the data matrix with the Commission mobile application, the Asset List Creator saves this information to a data file that can be exported and used in documenting the physical location of the controller on the job site.
You can use the Asset List Creator function of the Commission mobile application to capture device information from the Digital Matrix symbol on the tear-off product info labels of BACnet/IP devices.
The MP-C provides the following combination of communication ports:
Use the Device Restart function to perform a device restart of the BACnet/IP controller.
You log on to the Commission mobile application to perform commissioning, flow balance, and checkout operations on BACnet/IP controllers.
When connecting to a network at the job site, the Commission mobile application device must have either a dynamic or static IP address.
The Commission mobile application allows you to use a mobile device to perform commissioning, flow balance, and checkout operations on SpaceLogic BACnet/IP devices. BACnet/IP devices include BACnet/IP controllers (MP and RP), and IP-IO modules. The Commission mobile application is available for Android and iOS (Apple) phones and tablets, as well as devices using Microsoft Windows. The Commission mobile application can connect to a single BACnet/IP device or to a network of BACnet/IP devices on the local network.
You perform I/O checkout on the Multi-I/O module to verify that the devices are wired correctly and that the physical inputs and outputs are working properly.
