The I/O wiring recommendations provide guidance on what type of wires should be used for the different Central IO modules, AS-B server onboard I/O, RP and MP controller onboard I/O, and IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules, how to perform grounding, and how to connect different external devices to the inputs and outputs. This section also provides information on the external connectors required for the RP controller expansion modules and the RP-C-16C-F-230V model. Always use the recommended cables and wires.
You connect SpaceLogic Sensor devices to an MP controller to provide the sensor devices with power and communication from the controller.
You wire the terminal blocks on the MP-C to connect I/O devices and power.
You remove a terminal block from MP-C in order to replace the controller. The instructions apply to the removable terminal blocks on the MP-C-15A, -18A, -18B, -24A, and -36A models.
The MP-C-36A-M model has 36 I/O points and the controller is equipped with 61 fixed screw terminals and a 3-position removable screw terminal block.
The MP-C-24A-M model has 24 I/O points and the controller is equipped with 41 fixed screw terminals and a 3-position removable screw terminal block.
MP-C-36A has 36 I/O points and the controller is equipped with 10 pluggable terminal blocks.
