This section provides recommendations on minimum wire sizes (cross-sectional areas) and maximum wire lengths for the wires connected to the screw terminals of Central IO modules, AS-B servers, RP and MP controllers, and IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules. Recommendations on minimum wire size and maximum cable length for the digital inputs of the RP controller expansion modules, the DALI bus of the DALI light modules, the SMI Interface of the SMI blind modules, the Zigbee DALI and 0-10V modules, and the KNX Modbus gateway are also provided. The recommendations are for guidance only. Other wire sizes and lengths may be used, depending on wiring rules and when appropriate.
You export an Asset list when you have completed the capture of controller data.
You can use the Asset List Creator feature to capture device information contained in the digital matrix symbol on the tear-off product information label packaged with the BACnet/IP controller. When you scan the data matrix with the Commission mobile application, the Asset List Creator saves this information to a data file that can be exported and used in documenting the physical location of the controller on the job site.
You can use the Asset List Creator function of the Commission mobile application to capture device information from the Digital Matrix symbol on the tear-off product info labels of BACnet/IP devices.
The MP-V controller is a multi-purpose, fully programmable, IP based field controller dedicated for VAV applications. MP-V integrates a controller, a damper actuator, and an air flow sensor in a single unit for ease of installation. The MP-V can either be used as a standalone BACnet field controller or as part of an EcoStruxure BMS with an automation server or Enterprise Server as the parent server. MP-V can also be reconfigured through the EcoStruxure Building Operation software to use BACnet MS/TP, instead of BACnet/IP.
The MP-V provides the following combination of communication ports:
Use the Device Restart function to perform a device restart of the BACnet/IP controller.
Use the Diagnostics Downloadable List dialog box to view objects that require uploading or downloading to be synchronized.
You perform I/O checkout on the Multi-I/O module to verify that the devices are wired correctly and that the physical inputs and outputs are working properly.
Use this workflow to perform flow balancing on a single VAV controller, using the Commission mobile application. Related information can be found in the section after the flowchart.
