These Central IO modules combine 8 universal inputs and 4 analog outputs. You can use these modules when an application requires only a few I/O points of each type. The universal inputs can be used for any mix of temperature, pressure, flow, status points, and similar inputs. The analog outputs can be used to control a wide range of devices, such as valves and actuators, using a 0-10 VDC or 0-20 mA control signal.

The second-generation (v2) Central IO modules feature several enhancements over the first-generation models, including faster processor performance and higher-resolution A/D converters for universal inputs. Additionally, the v2 module design has been updated to better align with the DIN 43880 standard by removing the previously high shoulder height. By adding a variety of Central IO and power supply modules, you can use the AS-P server to tailor the Intelligent Building Management System to your unique requirements.
How to
You install a terminal base on a horizontal DIN rail to ensure that the device is securely fastened and to allow sufficient cooling air flow through the electronics module. You install a terminal base on a DIN rail prior to connecting it to its neighboring terminal bases.
