These Central IO modules combine 8 universal inputs and 4 digital outputs of the Form C relay type. You can use these modules when an application requires only a few I/O points of each type. The universal inputs can be used for any mix of temperature, pressure, flow, status points, and similar inputs. The Form C relays are designed for direct load applications for up to 3 A loads.

The second-generation (v2) Central IO modules feature several enhancements over the first-generation models, including faster processor performance and higher-resolution A/D converters for universal inputs. Additionally, the v2 module design has been updated to better align with the DIN 43880 standard by removing the previously high shoulder height.
