There are eight LEDs on the front panel of the Automation Server.

The Automation Server Ethernet and Status indicators comprise two LEDs (green/yellow and green/red respectively) in one structure. Normally, when one LED is lit, the other is not lit and vice versa, that is, the indicator will show one color at a time.
The LEDs indicate status of the Automation Server and the ongoing communication.
The Status LED on the front of the SmartStruxure devices changes color and flashes to indicate the status of the device.

The RS-485 (COM A and COM B) LEDs indicate the condition of the RS-485 communication according to the following table.
