The MP-C provides the following combination of communication ports:
Two Ethernet ports
Two USB ports
One RS-485 port
This applies to the following MP-C models without “-M” in the product name:
MP-C-15A, MP-C-18A, MP-C-18B, MP-C-24A, and MP-C-36A
The two Ethernet ports are labeled:
Ethernet 1
Ethernet 2
The two Ethernet ports are 10/100BASE-TX (RJ45) ports. When both Ethernet ports are enabled, they function as an onboard Ethernet switch. Disabling the second Ethernet port disables the switching function. The switching function enables flexible network topologies. Para obtener más información, consulte BACnet/IP Controller Network Topologies . The second port also provides a connection point for a laptop running the Commission mobile application.
Para obtener más información, consulte Communication Port Wiring .
The two USB ports are of different types:
USB host port
USB device port
The USB host port is a USB 2.0 type-A port, which is rated 2.5 W. The USB host port is reserved for future use.
The USB device port is a USB 2.0 mini-B port. The USB device port is reserved for future use.
Para obtener más información, consulte Communication Port Wiring .
The RS-485 port is labeled:
RS-485 Com A
The RS-485 port is rated 2 W (24 VDC).
The RS-485 port is an RJ45 port. Para obtener más información, consulte RJ45 Pinout for the RS-485 Port of the MP-C Controller .
The RS-485 port can be configured to use one of the following two communication protocols for different types of networks:
Sensor bus
Modbus
The sensor bus is designed for communication with SpaceLogic Sensor devices. Para obtener más información, consulte MP-C Sensor Bus .
The Modbus (RTU) network can be used for communication with standard Modbus devices. Para obtener más información, consulte MP-C Modbus .
Para obtener más información, consulte Allocating Flexible Ports .
The RS-485 port is by default configured to use the following network communication protocol:
Sensor bus
