Use the Device Restart function of the Commission mobile application to perform a restart of the BACnet/IP controller. There are four different ways to restart the BACnet/IP controller.
Restart Type |
Description |
Warm Start |
Perform a Warm Start when you want to reset the controller and want to retain all Warm Start properties and Cold Start properties. Perform a Warm Start to troubleshoot any device malfunctions. |
Cold Start |
Perform a Cold Start when you want to reset the controller and want to retain all Cold Start properties which excludes Warm Start properties. Perform a Cold Start to troubleshoot any device malfunctions after a Warm Start has not resolved the issue. |
Erase Controller Database |
Erase the controller database to clear any applications in the controller and before deploying a new application. Erasing the controller database will retain only the network settings, RSTP, and BACnet ID. As a best practice, erase the controller database before deploying a new application to the controller. |
