RP-C Onboard I/O

The RP-C controller models provide 12 or 16 I/O points, consisting of four different sets of I/O point types. The versatile mix of I/O point types match a wide variety of applications. The universal inputs/outputs are highly flexible and can be configured as either inputs or outputs.

  1. RP-C-16C-F-230V has eight I/O points of a type that can be configured either as Universal I/O or SSR output. When a configurable I/O point is configured as an Universal I/O, the SSR output is enabled and feeds 24 VAC/VDC power, but the SSR output can not be configured or used as a digital, PWM, or tristate output.
  2. Power is distributed to the SSR outputs either from an external power supply (24 VAC/VDC, 8 A) connected to the EXT Input or from the internal transformer (24 VAC, 19 VA). The choice is made by placing a jumper on a pin header.

By utilizing its onboard I/O with connected field devices, such as sensors and actuators, the RP-C controls and supervises equipment that can be used to suit a wide range of HVAC applications.

Universal Inputs/Outputs

The universal inputs/outputs are ideal for any mix of temperature, pressure, flow, status points, and similar point types in a building control system.

Solid-state Relay (SSR) Outputs

The solid-state relay (SSR) outputs can be used in many applications to switch 24 VAC or 24 VDC on or off for external loads such as actuators, relays, or indicators. SSRs are silent and are not adversely affected by relay contact wear.

Solid-state Relay (SSR) Outputs with Power Distribution on RP-C-16C-F-230V

The RP-C-16C-F-230V controller model offers selectable power supply to the solid-state relay (SSR) outputs. An external power supply (24 VAC / VDC, 8 A) or the internal transformer (24 VAC, 19 VA) can be selected via jumpers.

Relay Outputs

The relay outputs support digital Form A point types. The Form A relays are designed for direct load applications.

High Power Relay Outputs
