You install an RS-485 adapter using screws to properly fasten the device. You can also fasten the device using cable ties or mount the devices in line with a cable run.
Refer to the dimensional drawing before installing the RS-485 adapter.
Ensure that you have the proper mounting hardware and anchoring system.
Find a suitable location and surface on which to mount the RS-485 adapter.
Hold the RS-485 adapter against the surface and mark the place where the two drill holes should be on the surface.
Fasten the RS-485 adapter on the surface using two number 6, 8, M3, or M4 sheet metal and/or self-tapping screws with rounded or flanged hex head and wall anchors (optional).
The screws and wall anchors are not included.
You can now wire the RS-485 adapter.
