Creating an Action Note using WebStation

You create an action note to connect it to an alarm, and to simplify the reporting of actions taken when correcting the problem that triggered the alarm.

​Action notes are grouped by category, with possible actions that may correct the problem listed in each category. An action note specifies the actions that you used to correct the problem that caused the alarm.

Reporting the actions that were taken is either voluntary or mandatory. You can configure the alarm so the user is required to report the actions when certain events occur, such as when an alarm is disabled.

​Action notes can be of great use the next time the same alarm is triggered or when extracting alarm statistics.

To create an action note using WebStation
  1. In WebStation, select an alarm object.

  2. In the alarm dialog box, click User actions .

  3. In the Action notes properties, click the Edit button

  4. Do one of the following:

    • Select the action note group where you want to create the action note and then click Add to add an action note.

    • Click the Add button
