The RP-C-16C-F-230V controller model has PCB mounted connectors for the power input, the input for an external 24 VAC/VDC power supply, the SSR outputs, and the universal inputs/outputs. The PCB mounted connectors mate with pluggable connectors. The PCB mounted connectors are mechanically keyed and color-coded, which allows the matching external connectors to be plugged in on site quickly and easily.
The pluggable connectors mean time savings and cost reductions for the installation, compared to wiring terminal blocks on site. The connectors can quickly and easily be plugged together on site.
The RP-C-16C-F-230V controller uses 2, 3, or 4 pole connectors for the different inputs and outputs.
The connectors are mechanically keyed, which means the following connections cannot be made:
A connector for AC mains cannot be plugged into a connector for low-voltage applications.
A connector for low-voltage applications cannot be plugged into a connector for AC mains.
The matching connectors are locked together.
The connectors are also color-coded to help the installers and electricians to choose the correct, matching external connector. The connectors are color-coded:
Black: For AC mains (230 VAC) power input.
For 24 VAC/VDC external power supply input.
For SSR outputs with 24 VAC/VDC power distribution.
Light blue: For universal inputs/outputs (which are designed for low-voltage applications).
Turquoise blue: For configurable I/Os (which can be configured either as SSR outputs or universal inputs/outputs).
