An AS-P-3 server has the following communication ports:
1 Ethernet 10/100/1000 megabit port
2 Ethernet 10/100 megabit ports
3 RS-485 ports (only 2 ports on AS-P-L-3 model)
1 LonWorks TP/FT port (only available on AS-P-L-3 model)
2 USB 3.0 host ports (only one of the ports at a time can use USB 3.0)
1 USB 3.0 device port
1 I/O bus port
In the table below and the accompanying text, the communication ports are described along with examples of their typical usage and associated communication protocols. Support for other communication protocols, including legacy ones, may depend on the EcoStruxure Building Operation software version and is detailed in the specification sheet. Central IO modules (power supply, addressing, and communication) |
The Ethernet communication is performed over a 10/100/1000BaseTX, 10, 100, or 1000 Mbit/s, twisted pair network. The AS-P-3 servers have three Ethernet ports with RJ45 connectors.
The Ethernet interface is IEEE 802.3 compliant.
All three Ethernet ports are fully configurable and can be configured to operate either independently or as part of a bridged configuration. Any unused port can be disabled to enhance system security.
The AS-P-3 servers have RS-485 ports with RJ45 connectors. The AS-P-3 model has three RS-485 ports while the AS-P-L-3 model has two RS-485 ports and a LON TP/FT port.
Each RS-485 port can be configured to use one of the following communication protocols for different types of serial networks:
Modbus RTU or ASCII
BACnet MS/TP
The RS-485 Com C port cannot currently be configured for BACnet MS/TP communication.
Both USB host ports (type-A, facing down) support USB 3.0 but only one of the ports at a time can use USB 3.0 (0.9 A). Alternatively, both ports can use USB 2.0 (0.5 A). The USB host ports can be used for connecting devices such as the Advanced Display (AD) and Wireless Adapter - Advanced. Более подробную информацию см. Connecting AD v3 to an Automation Server and a 24 VAC or 24 VDC Power Supply .Более подробную информацию см. Wireless Adapter - Advanced .
The USB device port (type-C) on the front supports USB 3.0. The port is intended for program download from a PC by means of Device Administrator. It is connected to a PC or a downstream port of a hub.
The I/O bus port is a female 2x5 connector. The pinout and usage of this connector is the same as the female 2x5 connector on the backplane board on the terminal base for W1 width devices. Более подробную информацию см. Backplane Board .
