Use the power budget to calculate the maximum number of Central IO modules that the AS-P-3 server can supply. If more I/O modules are used, PS-24V power supplies must be added to the I/O bus.
The AS-P-3 server delivers an output voltage of 24 VDC ± 1 V at an output current of about 0.83 A. The AS-P-3 server can supply power for loads up to 20 W.
The number of Central IO modules that the AS-P-3 server can supply is 20 W based on the individual wattage requirements of each I/O module installed in a system.
To determine if the AS-P-3 server needs to be supplemented with PS-24V power supplies, and to determine the number and where on the I/O bus the power supplies need to be located, use the following power budget table.
