Activating an EcoStruxure Building Operation Demo License Using License Administrator

You activate EcoStruxure Building Operation demo licenses for demonstration, training, or when building a site.

Demo licenses are used for demonstration purposes, training, or when building a site.

There are two types of demo licenses:

  • EcoStruxure Building Operation Software Demo Licenses on Windows. These licenses are managed by License Administrator and handles licenses on Enterprise Server and Enterprise Central.

  • SpaceLogic Automation Server Demo Licenses. These licenses are managed by Device Administrator and handles licenses on Automation Servers.

EcoStruxure Building Operation Software Demo License on Windows Management

Demo licenses for EcoStruxure Building Operation software are local, bound to the computer, and cannot be shared.

The license file used to activate demo licenses can only be used once per computer and is time-limited. The demo license is installed on License Server from a license file with the extension .asr. Demo licenses must be activated on the same computer that runs WorkStation, Enterprise Server or Enterprise Central.

SpaceLogic Automation Server Demo License Management

You add and return licenses on automation servers using Device Administrator.

To activate an EcoStruxure Building Operation demo license using License Administrator

  1. In License Administrator, click the Licenses tab.

  2. On the Licenses toolbar, click the Add license from file button

  3. Select the license file and then click Open .

  4. Click Close .

  5. Click Restart now to restart the License Server and activate the local license.

The demo license is now activated and WorkStation, client tool, Enterprise Server or Enterprise Central can start.
