Backup Status Dialog Box
The Backup Status dialog box displays the progress and status of a manual backup. Once the backup starts, the process cannot be stopped but you can close this informational dialog box at any time.

Note:
The Backup Status dialog box does not appear during a scheduled backup. However, you can open the Backup and Restore Manager from the Control Panel on the Tools menu to view the current status of a scheduled backup.
