Configuring Report Manager

You configure Report Manager so you can view and create reports in WorkStation.

You configure WebReports to create and view reports in the Work area of WorkStation. You need to create and configure user accounts to have access to WorkStation and to run, view, and customize reports in WorkStation and the WebReports Web Site.

Report Manager Configuration

Before you can generate, view, and create reports in WorkStation, you need to configure certain parameters using Report Manager in WorkStation.

WebReports User Accounts

You create and configure user accounts for the WebReports Web site in WorkStation. User accounts that have access to WorkStation also have access to the WebReports Web site. User accounts that do not have access to WorkStation, or whose accounts have expired, do not have access to the WebReports Web site. By default, all user accounts that have access to WorkStation, can run, view, and customize reports in WorkStation and at the WebReports Web site. When you access WebReports through the WebReports Web site, you can perform administrative tasks in addition to viewing and creating reports. To perform the administrative tasks, your user account needs to belong to the Reports Administrators user group.

WebReports Administrator - Enterprise Server Configuration

WebReports Administrator is a configuration tool to configure the SystemReportsService user account password in the Reports Server. The SystemReportsServer user account password should be same in Enterprise Server and Reports Server to have proper communication between the two servers.

To configure Report Manager
  1. In WorkStation, in the System Tree pane, expand the System folder.

  2. Select Report Manager .

  3. On the File menu, click Properties .

  4. In the Web site URL box, type the URL of the WebReports Web site, for example, http://10.159.17.246/SchneiderElectric/WebReports/Login.aspx.

  5. In the Web service URL box, type the URL of the WebReports Web service, for example, http://10.159.17.246/SchneiderElectric/WebReportsService.

  6. In the Report source box, select WebReports .

  7. In the Default report folder name box, keep the default name.

  8. Click OK .
