If a value has, for example, kilo as prefix, it is presented in WorkStation with the k-prefix independent of the number of decimals. When conversion of a unit that has a prefix, WorkStation removes the prefix and presents the converted value in the operating system settings default measurement unit without the prefix.
For example, A value of 15 is created with the unit set to meter and with the milli prefix (10 -3 ), which gives 15 millimeter. A WorkStation on an operating system with US Customary converts the value to 0.016 yards. This is because of the milli prefix (10 -3 ) is removed and the Building Operation US customary default length unit is yard.
