EcoStruxure Building Operation Objects

The EcoStruxure Building Operation database is based on objects. Some objects are created when the database in installed, others are created by the engineer. Depending on the object type and your permissions, you can configure objects in a many different way.

Objects that are relevant for the user are presented in the System Tree pane and in the List View. To ease recognition of objects, every object type is represented by an icon.

Object Names

All objects in the EcoStruxure Building Operation database have to have a name. The EcoStruxure Building Operation objects are case-sensitive and differentiates between upper and lowercase characters. ​

Object Properties

Every object in the EcoStruxure Building Operation database has a number of different properties. Properties can be of two different types: read only and read/write. Read only properties are dimmed and cannot be changed. Read/write properties can be changed.

Content types are predefined layouts that you save to reuse for specific types of folders or container objects.
