Logging on to Technician Tool

You log on to Technician Tool to securely access the functions in Building Operation.

You log on to Technician Tool to securely access the functions in Building Operation.

To log on to SmartStruxure server using a Technician Tool, you need to know the following account information:

  • User name

  • Password

  • Server

Note:

To access the functionality of Building Operation from Technician Tool, you need to configure EcoStruxure Web Service Server. For more information, see Configuring the EcoStruxure Web Service Server .

Remember me

For a faster log on, use the Remember me feature to automatically fill in your user name and server in Technician Tool. For security reasons, your password is not automatically filled in.

When you do not log off and Technician Tool logs off of the SmartStruxure server after the configured background log off time, your password is also automatically filled in.

Turn off Remember me to clear the information you have stored in the Log on window of Technician Tool. For example, you want to be able to use different accounts when logging on, or log on to different SmartStruxure servers in the domain.

To log on to Technician Tool

  1. In Technician Tool, tap Log on .

  2. In the Server box, type SmartStruxure server IP or DNS address.

  3. In the User name box, type a user name.

  4. In the Password box, type a password.

  5. In the Remember me box, tap ON in iOS or select check box in Android to have Technician Tool remember your settings.

  6. Tap Log on .
