The RP-C controller is available in seven models that support both BACnet/IP and MS/TP communication. These seven models offer six different combinations (sets) of I/O point types and CPU types. Four of the models support 24 VAC/VDC input power and three of them support 230 VAC. One of the 230 V models has self-locking device connectors instead of screw terminals. The RP-C controller also comes in three models that only support BACnet MS/TP communication. These three models offer three different sets of the number of I/O points and types of I/O points and support 24 VAC/VDC input power.
This section provides recommendations on minimum wire sizes (cross-sectional areas) and maximum wire lengths for the wires connected to the screw terminals of Central IO modules, AS-B servers, RP and MP controllers, and IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules. Recommendations on minimum wire size and maximum cable length for the digital inputs of the RP controller expansion modules, the DALI bus of the DALI light modules, the SMI Interface of the SMI blind modules, the Zigbee DALI and 0-10V modules, and the KNX Modbus gateway are also provided. The recommendations are for guidance only. Other wire sizes and lengths may be used, depending on wiring rules and when appropriate.
This section provides recommendations on wires sizes and lengths for the 0-10V Light outputs of the RP controller expansion light modules.
This section provides recommendations on wires sizes and lengths for the low-voltage (24 VDC) Blind outputs of the RP controller expansion blind modules.
This section provides recommendations on wires sizes and lengths for the power input and power output (power distribution) of the RP controller expansion modules.
The RP-C controller is a room-purpose, fully programmable, IP based field controller. The RP-C models offer a flexible mix of I/O point types that suit a wide range of HVAC applications. The RP-C can either be used as a standalone BACnet field controller or as part of an EcoStruxure BMS with an automation server or Enterprise Server as the parent server. The BACnet/IP enabled RP-C controller can also be reconfigured through the EcoStruxure Building Operation software to support BACnet MS/TP, instead of BACnet/IP. The RP-C features a wireless chip that allows a mobile device running the Commission mobile application to connect directly to the controller.
This section provides grounding and power recommendations for system configurations with the RP-V controllers, which support 24 VAC input power.
