You stop the Reporting Agent Windows service to stop collecting report data.
Reports can be viewed in WorkStation or a Web browser. To view reports, you need a WorkStation user account. You use your WorkStation user name and password when you log on to view reports in either WorkStation or a Web browser.
The Reporting Agent is a Windows service that performs reads of historical data, such as extended trends, events, and alarms. During the installation, the WebReports Installer prompts you to enter the number of seconds that you want the Reporting Agent to perform these reads. It is recommended that you accept the default value.
You create a dataset to select a data and connection string from one of the EcoStruxure Building Operation database tables, or a stored procedure. You can also create a dataset by entering text into the Query box.
You create and configure user accounts for the WebReports Web site in WorkStation. User accounts that have access to WorkStation also have access to the WebReports Web site. User accounts that do not have access to WorkStation, or whose accounts have expired, do not have access to the WebReports Web site. By default, all user accounts that have access to WorkStation, can run, view, and customize reports in WorkStation and at the WebReports Web site. When you access WebReports through the WebReports Web site, you can perform administrative tasks in addition to viewing and creating reports. To perform the administrative tasks, your user account needs to belong to the Reports Administrators user group.
When you run one of the three different types of energy reports, it is possible that the report contains an error message informing you that energy units are not configured correctly. For example, you configured a power unit (W) instead of an energy unit (Wh), or you did not assign any unit at all. In these circumstances you need to know which extended trend log is incorrectly configured, and you can find out by clicking directly on the error message link. The subsequent report contains details of relevant trend logs and of the associated energy meter.
You configure a site to add or remove tags.
You attach a new tag to an energy object to enable you to ultimately create an energy category for use in customized energy reports in Report Builder.
