Concept

The SmartX AS-P server is the successor to Automation Server, and offers several improvements such as enhanced processor performance, increased memory size, dual Ethernet ports, and high-speed USB interfaces. Like the Automation Server, the SmartX AS-P server is a Schneider Electric manufactured embedded device that generally serves as the lowest tier EcoStruxure BMS server within the EcoStruxure BMS. The SmartX server controls and supervises equipment, typically HVAC equipment. SmartX AS-P servers use I/O modules with connected field devices, such as sensors and actuators, to do that.

Concept

The wiring recommendations for the communication ports on the SmartX servers and SmartX IP Controller devices apply to wires and cables used for RS-485 communications, LonWorks communications, USB connections, Ethernet connections, and Sensor Bus connections. Always use the recommended cables and wires.
