The output override function allows you to manually override outputs. This function can be used for testing, commissioning, and maintenance of equipment.

Do not override outputs without knowing the effect.

Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

An override display unit consisting of an LCD display and five keys is provided for override control of the output channels.

Override Display Model for MP-C and IP-IO

The following override display model is available for use with MP-C controllers and IP-IO modules.

Model

MP-C DISPLAY a

  1. The MP-C DISPLAY model is available in a variant named MP-C-BAA DISPLAY, which is included in Buy American Act (BAA) compliant bundles along with either the MP-C-15A-BAA or MP-C-36A-BAA controller. For more information, see the SpaceLogic MP-C Pro Specification Sheet. MP-C-BAA DISPLAY does not differ from MP-C DISPLAY in terms of hardware and functionality.
Note:

MP-C controller models with “-M” in the product name do not support the override display unit (MP-C Display).

User Experience

The override display has a menu-driven user interface, which facilitates overriding of the outputs, local configuration of inputs and outputs, and other tasks.

Keys

You use the keys on the override display to navigate the screens of the user interface and to select options on menus and lists.

Basic Operation

The basic operation of the user interface includes the following actions:

  • Highlight an option on a menu or list

  • Select an option on a menu or list

  • Change a value

You use the override display to manually override digital outputs as well as analog outputs.

View Inputs and Outputs

Using the override display, you can view the configuration and the present values for inputs and outputs, and for outputs you can also view the override status.

Configure Inputs and Outputs for Temporary Use

In configuration mode, you can locally configure inputs and outputs for temporary use during commissioning of the device. You can configure inputs and outputs that have not been configured through WorkStation.
