You create a utility object for use during system maintenance or testing. A utility object can be created at the top level of a Building Operation server. However, for the sake of organization it is recommended that you create the utility object inside a folder on the server.
In WorkStation, in the System Tree pane, select the folder.
In the File menu, point to New and then click Utility .
In the object type list of the Create Object wizard, select the object type.
In the Name box, type a name for the utility object.
In the Description box, type a description and then click Create .
The utility object is created. If you created a Signal Generator or Simple Math Operator object, you next configure the object, using the Basic properties tab. If you created a Timed Force object, you next configure the object's force type as either force until or force duration, using the Basic properties tab, and then use the Parameters tab to configure other object properties as needed.
