You can use the Controller List Creator function of the Commission mobile application to capture device information from the Digital Matrix symbol on the tear-off product info labels of BACnet/IP devices.
The Controller List Creator saves this information in the background to a data file that can be exported as a comma-separated file for use in documenting the controllers at the job site.
In the Commission mobile application , on the tab bar, click Home .
Click Scan QR Code .
In the Create Project dialog box, type a name in the Project Name box.
Click Create . A controller data file is created in the background.
Select the Scan icon
If this is the first time the camera of the mobile device is used with the Commission application, you may need to enable camera access from the settings section of your mobile device or Windows laptop.
Aim the camera at the Data Matrix symbol.
When the image capture succeeds, the List Creator view is displayed, and the Model , Serial number , and Ethernet MAC boxes are populated with data.
Type a description for the following fields:
In the Location box, type the location of the BACnet/IP device.
In the Equipment box, type a short description of the equipment that is associated with the BACnet/IP device.
In the Comment box, type a comment that you want to associate with the BACnet/IP device.
Continue capturing data from additional BACnet/IP devices as needed.
When you are done capturing, click the File Folder button
In the Project List view, select a project from the list.
In the Project List view, you can also review the list of existing projects and delete a project or create a new one.

Click the Export button, and then use the share options available on your device to send the file (.csv) to the target location of your choice.
You have created a controller list file, which can be used to document the BACnet/IP devices within the system.
