Infinet i2 Series Field Controllers
Infinet i2 controllers provide the outputs to actuate the dampers and control the fans for the system when the equipment is distributed throughout a facility. The Infinet i2 controllers approved for the smoke control system are listed here.
i2608-S and i2624-S
The i2600-S series includes the i2608-S and i2624-S controllers. The i2600-S series is suited for small or large groups of inputs that require monitoring in a concentrated area. The unit allows you to configure any universal input as a supervised input for monitoring open wires or short circuits. The i2608 provides 8 universal (0-5 V) inputs, while the i2624 provides 24 universal inputs. The i2600-S series communicates with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers using the Infinet 2 network. You can use the i2600-S series in either dedicated or non-dedicated smoke control applications.
The i2800-S series includes the i2800-S and i2804-S controllers. The i2800-S series are suited for small Air Handling Unit control. The i2800 provides 8 universal inputs, 1 Smart/Room Sensor and 8 DO outputs (Relay). The i2804 provides 8 universal inputs, 1 Smart/Room Sensor, 4 DO outputs (Relay) and 4 analog outputs. The i2800-S series communicates with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers using the Infinet network. You can use the i2800-S series in either dedicated or non-dedicated smoke control applications.
i2850-S, i2851-S and i2853-S
The i2850-S series includes the i2850-S, i2851-S, and the i2853-S controllers. The i2850-S series controllers are suited for VAV applications with external actuators. If additional I/O points are required, the I/O expansion port provides the link and modular power for those points. The i2853 is designed for dual-duct VAV applications requiring two airflow sensors. The I/O configurations are presented in the table that follows.

Examples of equipment controlled by i2850-S series controllers include VAV boxes, fan coil units, and stairwell fans. The i2850-S series communicates with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers using the Infinet network. You can use the i2850-S series in either dedicated or non-dedicated smoke control applications.
i2865-S, i2866-S and i2885-S
The i2865 and i2866 are full-featured VAV controllers that come equipped with a built-in actuator. Compared to the i2885, the i2865 series provides more I/O to handle the full range of VAV applications. The I/O configurations are shown in the following table.

These i2 controllers communicate with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers using the Infinet network. These models are typically applied to non-dedicated smoke control VAV applications.
These three models are replaced by the i2865-V-S, i2866-V-S, and i2885-V-S for new system installations. The -V-S versions are discussed in the following subsections. The discontinued models are listed here because you may frequently encounter them when expanding existing systems with the EcoStruxure BMS Smoke Control System. They are supported with the system listing as detailed in this guide.
i2865-V-S, i2866-V-S and i2885-V-S
These i2 controllers are used for VAV box control. The i2865-V-S and i2866-V-S are full-featured VAV controllers that come equipped with a built-in actuator. The I/O configurations are shown in the following table.

These models communicate with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers and a Smart Sensor using the Infinet network. They are typically applied to non-dedicated smoke control applications (VAV). The i2885-V includes a reduced I/O point count for smaller VAV applications.
These three models replace the three previously-listed models with the same model designation, without the -V suffix. However, you may still encounter the previous three models in earlier systems when upgrading to the EcoStruxure BMS Smoke Control System.
i2867-S
The i2867 is a compact terminal controller that provides DDC control of package units, heat pumps, unit ventilators, and other terminal unit applications. The I/O configuration is shown in the following table.

The i2867-S communicates with the Smoke Control Servers and other i2 controllers using the Infinet network. You can use the i2867-S in both dedicated or non-dedicated smoke control applications. The i2867-S controllers have a built-in tri-state output for connection to an external actuator for direct damper control.
i2920-S
The i2920-S controller controls large pieces of equipment, such as an AHU (Air Handling Unit), or several smaller pieces of equipment, such as smoke dampers. The I/O configuration is shown in the following table.
