Communication Ports on RP-C Models with “-M” in the Product Name
The RP-C provides the following communication ports:
One RS-485 port with RJ45 interface
One RS-485 port with terminal block
This applies to the following RP-C models with “-M” in the product name:
RP-C-12A-M-24V, RP-C-12B-M-24V, and RP-C-16A-M-24V
RS-485 Port with RJ45 Interface
The RS-485 port is labeled:
RS-485 Com A
The RS-485 Com A port is rated 3 W (24 VDC).

The RS-485 Com A port can be configured to use one of the following two communication protocols for different types of networks:
Sensor bus
Modbus
An RP-C can have only one of each network type.
