Finalizing a Meter Replacement

You finalize a meter replacement after you have replaced the physical meter that is monitored by the meter object. When you finalize a meter replacement, the meter object starts logging and collecting values from the physical meter.

Update the configuration of the monitored variable if the new physical meter is exposed using a different address or register.

When you replace a physical meter, you need to make adjustment to the meter object that monitor the physical meter.

Meter replacement must be planned to avoid data loss.

To finalize a meter replacement

  1. Do one of the following:

    • In WorkStation, right-click the meter object, point to Meter management then click Finalize meter replacement .

    • In WebStation, right-click the meter object, then click Finalize meter replacement .

  2. Specify the start value and the maximum value for the new meter in the dialog box.

  3. Click OK .
