Consumption Signature

The consumption signature object is used to calculate, analyze, and graphically present expected energy consumption.

A consumption signature consists of two logs:

  • The energy meter log that logs the actual energy consumption. Presented in the Y-axis.

  • The dependency log, that affects the energy consumption, for example outdoor temperature. Presented in the X-axis.

The two logs are presented in a signature curve. The signature curve is defined by the user, using a line tool that helps create the curve.

Connected Alarms

You can connect an out of reference range alarm to the signature and specify alarm limits to get alarms when the calculated actual consumption exceeds or falls below. In WebStation you can click Connect signature to a new alarm in the Consumption signature view to create the alarm.

Consumption Signature Widgets

Two consumption signature widgets, which use the consumption signature object as the input, are available for the WebStation dashboard.

Consumption signature plot

The Consumption signature plot is a XY plot similar to the configuration tool. The plot can show the alarm limits and you can also connect a calendar to highlight values for certain days in the plot. Highlighted values can be plotted or represented by a heatmap.

Consumption signature

The Consumption signature widget is a bar chart where you can see expected and actual consumption for a certain period. You can choose if you want to see the alarm limits or not.
