Creating a Hyperlink
You create a hyperlink in WorkStation to get easy access to important information on the Internet.
The EcoStruxure Building Operation software supports hyperlinks. Hyperlinks can be added and displayed in WorkStation. In WorkStation, you can navigate on the web page in same way as in a web browser.
WorkStation uses the following embedded web browsers to present web pages:
Microsoft Internet Explorer is used in 4.0.1 and all previous versions of WorkStation.
Chromium Edge is used in 4.0.2 and all subsequent versions of WorkStation.
In WorkStation, in the System Tree pane, select the EcoStruxure BMS server or folder where you want to create the hyperlink.
On the File menu, point to New and then click Hyperlink .
In the Create Object dialog box, in the Name box, type a name for the hyperlink.
In the Description box, type a description for the hyperlink.
Click Next .
In the Assign the URL page, in the URL box, type the URL for the hyperlink.
Important:You have to include http:// or https:// in the URL.
Click Create .
