Editing Community Content of a WebHelp Topic

You edit the information you have added in the community content of a topic to replace the current information with new information.

At the end of each topic, logged-on users can add information to share with other users. Anyone, public and logged-on users, can read the community content that is added to a topic.

Note:
  • Write in English because the community content is displayed for all languages and is not translated.

​Community content is available to all users. The community content is sorted with the earliest entries at the bottom and the most recent entries at the top of the list. ​The header of each entry displays the content title, the name of the author, and the modification date.

If you want to add, edit, and delete community content, you have to log on to WebHelp. You can only edit and delete your own entries.

When writing community content, you can use the following text formatting and style components:

  • Heading

  • Paragraph

  • Normal font

  • Bold font

  • Italic font

  • Bulleted list

  • Numbered list

  • Hyperlink

The community content titles are limited to 40 characters and body text to 10,000 characters.

Note:
  • Community content is subject to review by a Schneider Electric moderator. Community content can be deleted or edited without notice, or used by Schneider Electric in future documentation.

To edit community content of a WebHelp topic
  1. Log on to WebHelp.

  2. At the bottom of your community content entry, click Edit .

  3. In the Header box, type a header for your information.

  4. In the text box below the Header box and text formatting options, type your information.

  5. Click Submit .

WebHelp activates a subscription for updates of the community content, which means that you directly receive E-mail notifications when other users add or edit information in the community content.
