You add an attachment, for example a .pdf file or a trend log, to assist the user when diagnosing or solving the problem that caused the alarm.
An alarm attachment is opened in a pop-up window only if the selected workspace contains the Alarm pane. For more information, see Workspace Components and Customization .
In WorkStation, in the System Tree pane, select the alarm you want to configure.
Select the Attachment tab.
Click the Add button
In the Select Object dialog box, browse to the item you want to attach to the alarm.
Click Select .
In the Display on alarm column, check the box
Click the Save button
