Disabling a Loop Device or a Zone from a Graphic
You disable a loop device or a zone if you are going to perform maintenance work that might cause a false alarm.

COMPROMISED FUNCTIONALITY
If there is a risk for dust particles where smoke detection is used, attach dust covers to the detectors before you disable loop devices or zones related to fire detection and evacuation.
Comply with any applicable legislation, regulations, standards, and guidelines regarding actions to be taken when parts of the fire detection system are unresponsive.
Enable the loop devices and zones again at the earliest opportunity.
Failure to follow these instructions can result in death, serious injury, or equipment damage.

To disable a loop device or a zone from a graphic
In WorkStation or WebStation, in a graphic, click an enabled loop device or zone. On the
Actions
menu, click the multiselect icon
action_zoom_plus_stroke
to select several loop devices or zones. Use the selector
action_zoom_plus_stroke
to browse existing selections and click one of them.
On the
Actions
menu, click the
Disable
option. If you want to disable the objects and automatically enable them after a certain amount of time, click the option
Disable with auto-enable timer
. Use the time selector
action_zoom_plus_stroke
to increase or decrease the number of hours from disabling to enabling the objects.
Click the
Apply
button
action_zoom_plus_stroke
to disable the objects.
Click
Yes
to execute the action, click
No
to cancel it.
The objects are disabled and their updated state is displayed in the graphic.
