Confirming Consumption Monitor Settings

You confirm a consumption monitor setting after you have corrected an unexpected value.

The consumption monitor can take different status and modes.

Status

The consumption monitor can be in two states, OK or an error state.

Mode

The consumption monitor can be in the following modes:

Normal

The consumption monitor works as expected. It logs and calculates consumption.

Meter Replacement

A meter replacement is initiated.

Unexpected Consumption Values

When an unexpected value is detected, the consumption monitor enters the mode Action needed and the status of the consumption monitor is set to inform the user that something unexpected happened.

A consumption monitor in Action needed mode pauses the calculations and does not update the consumption values.

You start the consumption monitor again with the command Confirm meter setting .

The command Confirm meter setting opens a dialog where you can change the maximum settings and set the start value of the connected meter. For example, if the mode Action needed was caused by an unexpected meter replacement.

To confirm consumption monitor settings

  • Do one of the following:

    • In WorkStation, right-click the consumption monitor, point to Consumption Monitor management , then click Confirm consumption monitor settings .

    • In WebStation, right-click the consumption monitor, then click Confirm consumption settings .
