RP-C Regulatory Compliance and Approvals

This section provides information on regulatory compliance and approvals for the RP-C controllers.

CE - European Union (EU)

The RP-C controllers bear the CE mark and comply with the following EU directives:

  • 2014/53/EU Radio Equipment Directive (RED)

  • 2014/35/EU Low Voltage Directive

  • 2011/65/EU Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive

  • 2015/863/EU amending Annex II to Directive 2011/65/EU

UKCA - United Kingdom (UK)

The RP-C controllers bear the UKCA mark and complies with the following UK directives:

  • S.I. 2017/1206 - Radio Equipment Regulations 2017

  • S.I. 2016/1101 - Electrical Equipment (Safety) Regulations 2016

  • S.I. 2012/3032 - Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Electronic Equipment Regulations 2012

Federal Communications Commission (FCC)

For the RP-C 24 V controller models (FCC ID: DVE-RPC24), the following statements apply.

This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is subject to the following two conditions:

  • This device may not cause harmful interference.

  • This device must accept any interference received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user’s authority to operate this equipment.

This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class B digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference in a residential installation. This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. However, there is no guarantee that interference will not occur in a particular installation. Any antenna that is of the same type and of equal or less directional gain as the antenna that is authorized with the device may be used with the device.

eu.bac

For the RP-C 230 V controller models, a eu.bac approved controller application must operate in the controller to maintain compliance with the eu.bac certification. Approved controller applications, which are pre-configured for fan coil, ceiling systems, and other applications, can be downloaded from the Schneider Electric BMS Applications website, bms-applications.schneider-electric.com .
