Launching and Activating the eCommission SmartX Controllers Mobile Application

Prior to using the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application at a job site, there are certain preparations that must be made. Complete the following tasks, as well as any additional tasks that may be necessary.

To use the eCommission application at the job site

Download the eCommission application to the mobile device and then activate the application (requires Internet access).

To connect the eCommission application to the SmartX IP controllers

Consider the connectivity requirements needed for the job site, for either option: connect by wire or connect wirelessly.

Download application images to SmartX IP controllers at the job site

Copy the application images onto the eCommission application mobile device.

To launch and activate the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application

  1. On the mobile device, launch the eCommission application.

  2. Ensure that your mobile device is connected to the Internet.

  3. In the Activation code box, type the code appropriate to the user role, using the exact spelling, capitalization, and spacing:

    User role

    Activation code

    Technician

    CommissioningTool

    Flow Balancer

    FlowBalance

    Installer

    Electrician

  4. Select ACTIVATE .

  5. If this is your first log in to the eCommission application, create an account:

    • In the Username box, type a username.

    • In the Password box, type a password. When selecting a password for the eCommission application, be sure it meets the following requirements:

      • Contains at least 8 characters in total

      • Contains at least 1 number

      • Contains at least 1 special character

      • Contains at least 1 upper-case character

      • Contains at least 1 lower-case character

      • Contains no more than 3 repeating identical characters

    • In the Confirm password box, type the password again.

Your eCommission application account is created. You can now use the application with your assigned role until the activation period expires.
