Downloading and Starting the eCommission SmartX Controllers Mobile Application

Start the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application to perform commissioning, flow balance, and checkout operations on SmartX IP controllers.

Prior to using the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application at a job site, there are certain preparations that must be made. Complete the following tasks, as well as any additional tasks that may be necessary.

Task at Job Site

To use the eCommission application at the job site

Download the eCommission application to the mobile device and then activate the application (requires Internet access).

To connect the eCommission application to the SmartX IP controllers

Consider the connectivity requirements needed for the job site, for either option: connect by wire or connect wirelessly.

Download application images to SmartX IP controllers at the job site

Copy the application images onto the eCommission application mobile device.

To download and start the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application

  1. Download and then install the eCommission SmartX Controllers application to the mobile device from Google Play, the Apple App Store, or the Microsoft Store.

    Note:

    eCommission SmartX Controllers is the name of the application used in the download sources.

  2. On the mobile device, start the eCommission application.

  3. In the Login view, in the Username box, type your username.

  4. In the Password box, type your password.

  5. Tap or click Login .

  6. In the Select Connection view, tap or click the WiFi button

    to select the type of connection.

  7. In the UDP Port dialog box, accept the UDP port number of the BACnet internetwork as given or type a different UDP port number. If you are uncertain, accept 47808 and then tap or click OK .

    Note:

    If you are unable to connect, the UDP port number may be different from the default value. Consult with the EcoStruxure system administrator and then type the correct port number in the UDP Port box.

  8. In the Select BACnet Network dialog box, select one or more networks.

  9. Tap or click DISCOVER DEVICES .

Now you are ready to use the eCommission application to interact with the SmartX IP controllers.
