When necessary, temporarily unhost a SmartX IP controller from the server to allow a task to be performed or completed.
Start WorkStation.
In WorkStation, in the Device Discovery View , you can easily see whether the controller is hosted, by viewing its status in the Hosting Status column.
In the System Tree pane, under the controller's host server, delete the device object.
Return to the eCommission application to perform the desired task or resume the task that was interrupted.
When the task is completed, return to WorkStation and add the controller's device object back on the server.
Recreate any bindings that were broken when the device was deleted from the server.
The controller was temporarily unhosted, allowing you to complete the task that was prevented or interrupted.
