You can use the Diagnostic Files function of the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application to view and export diagnostic files from within a SmartX IP controller.

The diagnostic files you can view and export include the following:

  • Device Report

The device report allows you to extract diagnostic information from the SmartX IP controller and troubleshoot problems quickly and efficiently. This report is also accessible from the EcoStruxure BMS.

  • Error Log

The error log provides a list of current errors in the SmartX IP controller that you can troubleshoot and correct.

  • Crash Report

The crash report shows the time of the crash, followed by coded information that is used by developers to interpret the crash event. Should it be necessary to seek help from Schneider Electric support, you may be requested to download this file and then email it to the support engineer, for use in the investigation.

  8. Find the report or log file by navigating to the Commissioning Tool\DiagnosticReport folder, using either of two methods:

    Note:

File organization, and navigation within the file structure, varies from one Android platform to another. Therefore, you may need to try more than one approach when searching for the controller list file.

    • You can use a file navigation utility on the mobile device, for example File Explorer, to perform a search for the folder name.

    • You can follow the path you previously saved to the clipboard. To do this, start a file navigation utility on the mobile device, for example File Explorer, paste the path text into the search box, and then execute the search.

  9. You can copy the report or log file to another location on the device, for the purposes of system documentation, system management, or system troubleshooting. This report or log is a simple text file, which can be opened with any text editor software.

You have viewed the diagnostic information associated with the controller. If you exported the report or log file, you can use the file or its contents as part of the system documentation or to perform troubleshooting.
