Running the Commission mobile application on a Windows laptop computer, you can connect directly to a BACnet/IP controller by Ethernet wire. Optionally, you can use an Ethernet switch to connect the computer and the BACnet/IP controller.
Configure the network connections on the Commission mobile application computer and the BACnet/IP controller for DHCP addressing.
For more information, see Configuring BACnet/IP Controller Settings .
Connect an Ethernet cable between the Commission mobile application computer and Port 1 of the BACnet/IP controller. If you are using an Ethernet switch, connect the computer and the controller to the switch, using Ethernet cables.
Because an actual DHCP server is not used, both the Commission mobile application computer and the BACnet/IP controller will self-assign link-local IP addresses.
In the Commission mobile application, on the Home page, click IP Network , select a network adapter, and discover devices.
In the Device List view, select the BACnet/IP controller to make the connection.
Using the Commission mobile application, you can now perform tasks on the connected BACnet/IP controller as needed.
