Downloading a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP Controller

You download the Configuration Menu to the SmartX IP controller to configure the device.

Note:

Before you can download a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP Controller, you must download the Application Image that contains the Configuration Menu to the SmartX IP Controller. For more information, see Downloading an Image File to a SmartX IP Controller .

Configuration Menus are a group of pre-engineered objects and values that make device commissioning faster and easier. Configuration Menus are exported and downloaded from image files. Download a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP Controller to commission the controller.

Configure Controllers Workflow

You download an Application Image that contains a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP controller to configure a device. Use this workflow to implement the Configuration Menu using the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application. Related information can be found in the section after the flowchart.

Download a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP Controller

You download the Configuration Menu to the SmartX IP controller to configure the device.

Modify Device Properties from the Configuration Menu

After downloading the configuration menu to the controller, you view and modify the device properties from the configuration menu to complete device commissioning.

To download a Configuration Menu to a SmartX IP controller

  1. From the Menu , select Configuration Menu .

  2. In the Configuration Menu, change any writable property values. For more information, see Modifying Device Properties from the Configuration Menu .

  3. Select Save .

The Configuration Menu has been downloaded to the SmartX IP Controller.
