Adding an Attachment to Multiple Alarms

You add an attachment, for example a .pdf file or trend log, to assist the user when diagnosing or solving the problem that caused an alarm.

You can add attachments to alarm objects, except System Information alarms. An attachment is a link pointing to an object in the system. When an alarm that has an attachment is triggered, a paperclip icon is displayed in the Alarms pane and Alarm Views. It is also possible to configure the attachment to display when the alarm is going from Normal to Alarm state.

Bei einem Anhang kann es sich um eine Sprachmitteilung, einen Report, ein Trenddiagramm, einen Terminplan, eine Microsoft Word-Datei, eine PDF-Datei, eine Videoaufnahme oder um ein Pop-Up-Fenster handeln, das Informationen über den Alarm enthält.

Sie können den gleichen Anhang oder Satz von Anhängen in einem einzigen Arbeitsvorgang zu mehreren Alarmen hinzufügen. Sie können die Anhänge, die zu mehreren Alarmen gehören, auch in einem einzigen Arbeitsvorgang löschen. Wenn Sie einen Anhang hinzufügen, der bereits an einen Alarm angehängt wurde, wird der spätere Anhang als Duplikat hinzugefügt.

In WorkStation können Sie außerdem andere Anhangtypen öffnen, vorausgesetzt das Programm oder der Editor, das/der den Anhang öffnet, ist auf Ihrem Computer lokal installiert. Wenn es sich bei dem Anhang zum Beispiel um eine PDF-Datei handelt, können Sie die Datei öffnen, wenn der Adobe Reader oder ein ähnliches Programm auf Ihrem Computer installiert ist.

Hinweis

An alarm attachment is opened in a pop-up window only if the selected workspace contains the Alarm pane. Für weitere Informationen siehe Workspace Components and Customization .

To add an attachment to multiple alarms

  1. In WorkStation, in the list view, select the alarms to which you want to add the alarm attachment.

  2. On the Actions menu, point to Advanced .

  3. Click Add attachment .

  4. In the Select Object dialog box, select the item that you want to attach to the alarms.

  5. Click Select .

  6. Click Yes if you want the attachment to display when the alarm is triggered.
