Concept

This section provides recommendations on minimum wire sizes (cross-sectional areas) and maximum wire lengths for the wires connected to the screw terminals of Central IO modules, AS-B servers, RP and MP controllers, and IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules. Recommendations on minimum wire size and maximum cable length for the digital inputs of the RP controller expansion modules, the DALI bus of the DALI light modules, the SMI Interface of the SMI blind modules, the Zigbee DALI and 0-10V modules, and the KNX Modbus gateway are also provided. The recommendations are for guidance only. Other wire sizes and lengths may be used, depending on wiring rules and when appropriate.

Specifications

Concept

The RP-IO module is available in two models that only support BACnet MS/TP communication. These two models offer two different combinations (sets) of the number and types of I/O points. Both models support 24 VAC/VDC input power.

User Interface

The Status LED on the front of the automation devices changes color and flashes to indicate the status of the device.

Hardware Installation

Part numbers: SXWRIOF12AM10001 and SXWRIOF16EM10001

Concept

The Schneider Electric EasyLogic and SpaceLogic hardware devices for the EcoStruxure BMS include terminal bases, PS-24V power supplies, Central IO modules, automation servers such as AS-P and AS-B servers, MP-C, MP-V, RP-C, and RP-V controllers, IP-IO and RP-IO I/O modules, RP controller expansion modules, remote control, KNX Modbus gateway, Bluetooth adapter, Wireless Adapter - Advanced, SpaceLogic Sensor devices, Advanced Display devices, and Operator Display devices.

Concept

The RP-IO module provides I/O expansion to your HVAC application over BACnet MS/TP. The I/O module can share its I/O resources across applications running in automation servers, RP and MP controllers, or third-party systems. With the support of local alarms and local trend logs, the I/O module avoids unnecessary traffic over the network while being able to log important information locally. The I/O module can be installed near facilities in the field, away from the automation server or the RP or MP controller.

Concept

This section provides recommendations on wire sizes and lengths for the RP-IO modules.

Concept

There is one LED on the front panel of the RP-IO module.

Concept

You must configure the DIP switches as part of the commissioning process for the RP and MP controllers and RP-IO modules that only support MS/TP communications.
