You send the response files to the EcoStruxure BMS servers to complete the offline activation of licenses.

Reclaiming licenses is the process of making sure that the licenses are updated with the latest information.

This is typically done when expanding a license subscription.

Reclaim Licenses on EcoStruxure BMS Servers

Device Administrator is used to reclaim licenses installed on EcoStruxure BMS servers.

Online reclaim

In the online case the computer that runs Device Administrator is connected to the Internet.

Online reclaim on a semi online system

A special case is semi online system where the EcoStruxure BMS server is not connected to Internet, but Devices Administrator is connected to Internet. A semi online system is treated as an online system for licensing purposes.

Offline reclaim

In the offline case the computer that runs Device Administrator and the EcoStruxure BMS servers are not connected to the Internet.

Reclaim Licenses for Some Editors and Clients

License Administrator is used to reclaim licenses on some editors and clients.

To send response files to the EcoStruxure BMS server when activate licenses

  1. In Device Administrator, click Servers .

  2. Select Show licenses .

  3. Select the EcoStruxure BMS servers.

  4. Click Activate .

  5. Click Send response files to the selected automation servers .

  6. Click OK .

  7. In the Select the zip file that contains the response files you want to send , select the response files.

  8. Click Send .
