Modifying Device Properties from the Configuration Menu

After downloading the configuration menu to the controller, you view and modify the device properties from the configuration menu to complete device commissioning.

Configuration Menus are a group of pre-engineered objects and values that make device commissioning faster and easier. Configuration Menus are exported and downloaded from image files. Download a Configuration Menu to a BACnet/IP controller to commission the controller.

Configure Controllers Workflow

You download an Application Image that contains a Configuration Menu to a BACnet/IP controller to configure a device. Use this workflow to implement the Configuration Menu using the eCommission SmartX Controllers mobile application. Related information can be found in the section after the flowchart.

Download a Configuration Menu to a BACnet/IP Controller

You download the Configuration Menu to the BACnet/IP controller to configure the device.

Modify Device Properties from the Configuration Menu

After downloading the configuration menu to the controller, you view and modify the device properties from the configuration menu to complete device commissioning.

To modify device properties from the configuration menu

  1. In the Commission mobile application, click on the Commission tab.

  2. On the Commission tab, click on Configuration Menus .

  3. Click on the name of the configuration menu you want to view.

  4. In the Configuration Menu, change any writable property values.

  5. Select Save .

  6. To verify a change in value, select the Refresh icon. Property values refresh when you navigate to and from submenus.

You have completed device commissioning for this controller and can continue performing device configuration on other BACnet/IP controllers.
